Homework
Reading
Your child will take part in a guided reading session at least once a week and this book will remain in school so that your child can complete focused tasks prior to, and following the sessions. They will also be given their own purple reading record which must be returned to school every day. We encourage parents to make a comment in their child’s reading record in relation to any home reading completed. There will be opportunities for children to loan books from the library throughout the year and to participate in the Library Reading Challenge. To strengthen children’s reading, we also encourage children to read for 20 minutes every day.
PE Kit
Please ensure that your child’s PE kit is FULLY LABELLED with their FULL NAME, in a bag labelled with their FULL NAME and CLASS. Earrings should be removed or covered with surgical tape for all PE lessons.
